Great food, great wine and great service in a casually, elegant setting! That's what we do! I am Chef Frank Grace and this is my restaurant! Come explore our culinary delights in an unpretentious atmosphere, where we bring the best ingredients and preparations from around the globe to your dinner table.

Born and raised in New York, I started my culinary career early on. I scrubbed pots and pans at a local Long Island shoreline restaurant and worked my way through the ranks as the years passed. That was thirty years ago. I cooked for a multitude of restaurants on Long Island and graduated from St. Anthony's High School in Smithtown, NY in 1980.

From there I served my country in the United States Navy and was discharged in 1983 from the Groton, CT Submarine Base. Upon discharge, I sought employment at a local, favorite restaurant in Mystic, CT - The Steak Loft. After several years at The Steak Loft, it was time to spread my wings and challenge myself at other establishments in Southeastern CT, before enrolling in the Culinary Arts program at the renowned University in Providence, RI. Johnson and Wales.

My resume is extensive and I won't bore you with all of the details. All you really need to know is that all of my years in this industry have manifested into Frank's Gourmet Grille. My passion, my life! The only two things more important are God and my family, both of which have given me the okay to remain obsessed with my business.
